Have a look at our News section.

BAYBOCA is the Bayside Branch of the Bird Observation and Conservation of Australia. Our aim is to promote responsible birdwatching as an enjoyable recreation which leads to increased knowledge about Australian birds and a better understanding of their habitat needs, in the bayside area of Melbourne, Australia.

We have 10 meetings and 10 outings per year. Each meeting features a guest speaker, door prize, and supper. Our outings take us to the varied bird and wildlife habitats in our area. Lists of the birds we record at each outing are placed on this web site.

Each outing is led by an experienced bird observer, who will be happy to share with you their knowledge of the local birds. Some outings also offer you the opportunity to learn about more than the birds of an area, through the presence of invited experts in fields such as native plants and mammals.

Members of BAYBOCA receive free entry to each meeting and outing, three newsletters each year, and a personalised name badge.
