The Master Genealogist V6 and upgrades
======================================
The Master Genealogist Gold version 6 is now available. We have the UK
Edition in stock. While this edition has some added features to help
people researching UK ancestors, the program still works as it always
did for non-UK research. It is $110.

We also have some upgrades from V5 to V6 in stock, at $42.

South Australian Births: Registrations 1907 to 1928
===================================================
The data on this latest CD-ROM of South Australian registrations meets
the same high standard set by the earlier birth, death and marriages
CDs, and brings the number of CDs with South Australian birth death and
marriage registrations up to five. The South Australian Genealogy and
Heraldry Society is busy working on the sixth, which will bring coverage
of the death registrations up to the late 1920s. Investigate our web
site for pricing and details of the date ranges already covered.


Northern Territory Australia Deaths 1824 to 2004. Part 1
========================================================
This is the latest Digger(TM) CD-ROM to be released. Thanks to the hard
work of the Genealogical Society of Northern Territory, this CD-ROM
contains information relating not only to deaths in Northern Territory
Australia, but also some deaths of Territorians who were outside the
Territory at the time. It is a valuable resource that can aid in
determining  what became of those who spent much of their life in the
Northern Territory, and is good value at only $121.

This is the first in a series of CDs from Northern Territory planned for
the upcoming months. We'll let you know more about the next one soon.


Family Tree Maker 2006
======================
A new version of this popular program is now available. The producers
have reverted to the slimmer, lighter and hence less expensive type of
packaging used a couple of versions ago. This means there is no printed
manual or extra data CDROMs, but the price has been dropped accordingly.
At only $66.00, it could make a good Christmas present!


Tasmanian Federation Index
==========================
Some of you will have heard rumours of a Tasmanian Federation Index
coming out on CD-ROM using Digger. The rumours are true, but we do not
yet know for sure what date range it will cover. We are expecting births
up to maybe 1920, and possibly marriages and deaths a bit later than
that. We should know for sure in a few weeks, and with a little luck the
CD itself might be available around March/April 2006.


Delving into Digger
===================
Sales of this book have been brisk lately, suggesting many people are
likely to receive a copy for Christmas. If you haven't a copy already,
you could suggest it to someone as a present you might like. At only
$6.60, it's something even the kids could afford out of their pocket
money. If the tips in it help you find even one entry on a Digger CD-ROM
that you would otherwise have missed, then it's probably paid for itself.


"Announce" Mailing List
=======================
This mailing list has had a hard time of late, due to a series of
problems including a hard disk crash. While most subscriber's email
addresses were rescued, some people may have disappeared from this list
when they did not wish to. If you know anyone who expected this
newsletter and didn't receive it, please suggest they re-subscribe. The
easiest way to do this is to send an email to
announce-request@cohsoft.com.au with the subject "subscribe" (without
the quotes).


Holiday Season
==============
Over the Christmas/New Year's break, Coherent Software will be closed
