LATEST ON NEW CD-ROMS
The two CD-ROMs 'South Australian Deaths. Registrations 1842-1915' and
'Inquest Index. Victoria 1840-1985' are either at the reproduction
plant, or on their way. We expect to receive them sometime during the
week starting 5 June. We will send copies to those who pre-ordered as
soon as we receive them.

Pricing for these two CD-ROMs will be:

SA Deaths $165 ($180 after 30 June)
Inquests  $220 ($240 after 30 June)

Queensland still have not decided when the 'Queensland Pioneers Index
1829-1889' will be released.


NEW LOOK WEB SITE
We have finally upgraded the Genealogy products section of our web
site (http://www.cohsoft.com.au/cohsoft/gene/), to make ordering
easier.  There are a few parts of the site we intend to improve further,
but please let us know if you have any comments or suggestions so far.


BOOK OUT OF PRINT
The third edition of the popular book 'Genealogy on the Internet' is
now out of print. We do not yet know whether there will be a fourth
edition.


ALTERNATIVE FOR SENDING CREDIT CARD DETAILS
If you are unhappy sending credit card details via e-mail, or through
the web, you can always send several e-mails, at different times, each
with a different part of the credit card number. To 'steal' your
number, someone would have to intercept each and every e-mail. Just
remember to let the intended recipient know in which order the bits
should be stuck back together!

In addition, sending your credit card details over the Internet is much
safer than using your credit card in a restaurant. Over the Internet,
the worst that can happen is that someone gets your card number. In
some restaurants, temporary waiters have pocket-sized card readers they
use to 'steal' the magnetic stripe of your card. The 'stripes' are then
sent overseas, where new cards are manufactured with someone else's
name and signature, but your account details.

So don't let that card out of your sight!
