New Software
============
Coherent Software have taken over the Australian distribution  of the
popular UK programs GenMap UK and LDS Companion (formerly IGI Read).

GenMap UK is the perfect program for working out where in the 
UK people with a particular surname were over time. Feed it names,
places and dates in GEDCOM or dBase III format, and it will 
display a map of the UK and Ireland showing where events occurred and
when. In this case, a picture really is worth at least a thousand words.
At a glance you can see where your names are concentrated, allowing you
to concentrate your efforts where they are most likely to do you good.

An excellent source of data for GenMap UK are the LDS CD-ROMs, such as
the IGI. Not all of the LDS CD-ROMs export data in a format suitable for
GenMap UK. Another program, LDS Companion, will accept the data exported
from most of the LDS CD-ROMs, and convert it to a format suitable for
GenMap UK.

As an added bonus, LDS Companion can also convert much of the LDS CD-ROM
data to other common formats, such as those used by popular spreadsheet
and database software. Finally you can import the LDS CD-ROM data into
your favourite program!

Stocks of both programs are currently in transit to Australia from the
UK. GenMap UK will be $65, LDS Companion will be $38, or buy both at
once in a bundle for the special price of $90. All prices include GST.

New online secure purchasing
============================
As part of updating our web site to GST inclusive prices, we have
upgraded the purchasing section of the web site to make it easier for
you to purchase using the method you prefer. In addition, we have
implemented a new secure ordering section, using technology supported by
Westpac Bank.

The online ordering with credit card uses new technology provided by
eSec and Westpac, ensuring your credit card details are protected.
Ordering with your credit card on our site is much safer than using your
card in a restaurant!

Easier post/fax ordering
========================
If you prefer to order by post or fax, you can now avoid the uncertainty
of knowing how much postage to include. Start your order as if you were
going to order online using your credit card - add what you want to your
shopping basket. When you are ready to proceed with your order, choose
Purchase while viewing your basket. 

After you have entered your name and address, and before you are asked
for any credit card details, you will be given the option of printing an
order form. Just choose that option, print the page containing your
order, and mail or fax with payment details! Postage within Australia
will be automatically calculated and printed.

We would be very interested to hear what you think about our web site.
Do you find it easy to use? Is it fast enough? Can you easily find what
you want? Is there anything missing?

We are particularly interested in those of you using 'minority' browsers
and operating systems. We have tried to design the site so as not to
exclude anybody. However, we do not have access to all operating systems
and all browsers, so we are unable to test if we have been successful.
