New Interactive Historic Map CDROMs
===================================

Coherent Software Australia now stock four Interactive Map CDROMs
containing political boundaries for each year for up to 2500 years!

Each CDROM contains a set of maps, one for each year covered by that
CDROM. The region covered is either World or Old World, depending on
the CDROM.

Each map shows the political boundaries as of January 1 of that
year. You can zoom in on areas of interest, and turn on and off
overlays such as major rivers.

This new range of CDROMs sells for between $44 and $88, depending on
the range of years, and hence number of maps, on the CDROM.

AIGS Computer Open Day (Melbourne)
==================================
On Saturday May 18 the AIGS is holding a Computer Day at World Vision
Conference Centre, 1 Vision Drive, Burwood (off Springvale Rd, between
Highbury Rd and Burwood Hwy). There will be displays and
demonstrations of family history programs, scanning and copying
photos, Kodak digital, desktop publishing, PC Users, Mac Users, Demos,
talks and lots more. Coherent Software will be there demonstrating
(and taking orders!) the new Interactive Map CDROMs, Genmap UK, and
Family Tree Super Tools. Come along and say hello.

Entry is $7 per person, or $12 per family, between 10am and 4pm.


LDS Companion Version 2
=======================
Archer Software have released version 2 of LDS Companion. If you have
an older registered version, you can obtain the latest by emailing
steve@archersoftware.co.uk.

Version 2 has several enhancements, including a) now supports British
Vital Records Index (BVRI) 2nd edition; (b) adds conversion support
for Gedcom files from the various census products (including US 1880
Census) (c) adds support for more recent Vital Records Index CD's
(Western Europe, Mexico); (d) Improved program interface.
