What is this list?

This list is your opportunity to learn about new products as early as possible. For example, we are co-producers of the Digger(TM) range of CD-ROMs, and often know about the release of new products before most other people.

This is a one-way mailing list. As such, you can not send messages to the list - only the staff of Coherent Software can post messages.

How do I subscribe?

There are now three ways to subscribe to the announce list.

Web site

On most of the genealogy pages within Coherent's web site, the left hand side has a space where you can enter your e-mail address, and then choose the Subscribe button. A short time after doing this, you should receive an e-mail from the announce list computer. If you don't, you may have mis-typed your e-mail address.

E-mail

Send an email to announce-request@cohsoft.com.au with the word

subscribe

as the subject.

A short time after doing this, you should receive an e-mail from the announce list computer, asking you to confirm you really do want to subscribe. Just Reply to that message, and you will be subscribed.

While ordering

If you order something from Coherent Software, you will see an option on the order form to have your e-mail address automatically added. This is another way of subscribing.

What sorts of messages will I receive?

Most messages will be announcements of new genealogy products available through Coherent Software. We may occasionally send notifications of other things we believe will interest most people, such as price changes or any special offers.

How often will I receive messages?

The messages will be irregular. We expect an average of around six messages per year (i.e. one every second month), but some months you might not receive any message. Other months you might receive two or even three messages.

How do I unsubscribe?

Send an e-mail to announce-request@cohsoft.com.au with the subject

What will Coherent Software do with my e-mail address?

Your e-mail address will be used to send you the sorts of messages described above. We might also send you e-mail if we need to contact you about a product you have purchased or expressed interest in - for example, if a product were re-called or there were delays shipping your order.

We will NOT use your e-mail address for any other purpose without your prior consent. So we will NOT communicate your e-mail address to any third party.

How do I tell you about a problem?

If you have a problem with the mailing list that is not addressed here, send and email with a description of the problem to announce-owner@cohsoft.com.au. Please ensure you include your correct return email address - many people include an email address that does not work, and so we cannot reply.
