Index to bounty (assisted) immigrants arriving in the Australian state of New South Wales between 1828 and 1842.

This index to and transcription of the Archives Office of New South Wales (now State Records NSW) microfilms # 1286-1349 on 64 reels of microfilm has been created by Marj Knight. These films relate to the assisted or bounty immigrants to New South Wales (NSW) from 1828 to 1842.

These films include the following records:

  • Persons on early immigrant ships 1828 to 1832
    These records include the immigrant's name, ship's name, year of arrival, age, sex, country, calling and status such as steerage.

  • Persons on early immigrant ships May 1832 to January 1833
    These records include name, age, sex, country, calling and status such as steerage.

  • Entitlement certificates of persons on Bounty ships 1832 to 1842
    These records include the name of the ship, the name of the immigrant, year of arrival, the calling, the age, the place of origin, the religion, and the health of the immigrant.
